Have a Green Halloween…..DIY and Win!

Anyone who grew up during the 80’s probably went Trick ‘R Treating in a black plastic bag complete with homemade witch’s hat.   Shop bought costumes nowadays seem to have replaced these DIY favourites but homemade costumes don’t have to be embarrassing (or sweaty) and can in fact give you a great opportunity to recycle whilst spend some fun times with the family.  Barna Recycling would like to challenge all our customers to create a Halloween costume from Recyclable materials. Email pictures of your scary creations to halloween@barnarecycling.com before the 7th of November to be in with a chance to win some great prizes:

First Prize:         €50 One4All Voucher
Second Prize:    €30 One4All Voucher
Third Prize:        €20 One4All Voucher

Handy Tip : The internet has lots of great ideas for homemade costumes so get Googling.Trick Or Treat Banner

Leitrim Customers Can Now Pay by Lift Electronically

The deferred discontinuation of the Pay by Lift system until the 1st of December 2014
by Leitrim County Council has resulted in a shortage of physical bin tags.
In order to provide Leitrim householders with a convenient and affordable
solution in the interim, Barna Recycling are offering customers the option
to Pay by Lift using the electronic system. Simply open an account with
us and purchase the required credit. The cost per lift will be no more than
the cost of a traditional bin tag. To enable Pay by Lift users on the electronic system to comply with the new Waste Management Bye Laws, Barna Recycling will transfer your
account to the new Pay by Weight system on the switch over date.
